CELESTIAL FIGS

Celestial is a green skinned, red fleshed variety, juicier and more fragile than Mission. Think of them as a delicate city cousin of the robust country style Misson fig.

Season: Mid August to September.

Size: 1 lb clamshells.

Suggested uses: Fresh eating, grilled, roasted, baked on tarts, used on salads, cheese platters, sorbets, preserves.

Shelf life: 5 days in your cooler for raw use, up to a week if you are cooking them.
