Hachiya persimmons are astringent and can only be eaten fresh once fully soft. They are also used for making Hoshigaki. We ship the fruit firm as it is way too fragile to be shipped ready to eat. Set the fruit on your counter to soften and be patient, it is impossible to predict how many days Hachiya will take to soften.
