Farming means coordinating between the whims of nature, the needs of the customers, and the limitations of the distribution system. A farmer needs to be both proactive and reactive: observant, inventive, thrifty, capable, patient, tireless, open-minded. A sense of humor doesn’t hurt. Neither does a cold beer at the end of a long workday.

A fruit expert you can trust.

To a large extent, I am a spectator and student to the interplay of the trees, the weather, the bugs, learning when to intervene and when to just let nature do the work. The goal is to nurture a healthy ecosystem.
