Tsurunoko are a rare pollination variant persimmon. This means that if the blossom was properly pollinated in the spring, the fruit will have seeds and can then be eaten firm. They are ovoid in shape with reddish-orange skin, and are often referred to as "Chocolate" persimmons because of the dark color of their extremely sweet flesh.
Season: October
Suggested uses: Fresh eating, grilled, salads, persimmon pudding.

What Our HoshiGaki Customers Are Saying
"There is nothing you could have done better! I seriously ordered these yesterday and they arrived today.
My uncle was a respected executive at the fruit sheds in Loomis and worked with many Japanese fruit growers. They respected and trusted him. I loved going to visit him when the white boxes of HoshiGaki had been gifted to him. The first time I ever tasted one I was so amazed as I had never tasted anything so amazing! I tasted one of the ones you sent and was sent back in time.
It is without a doubt the best I have ever tasted and I have sampled them from many places. Yours are unsurpassed. So, thank you for your prompt delivery and the very best product."
